Zoom instructions - preparing your online session

we recommend using a laptop or desktop (Windows or Apple). This increases the possibilities to interact with each other. The use of a tablet, mobile phone, Chromebook or web browser may be possible, but not all options for interactive participation will be available with these devices.

If you've used Zoom before, make sure you're on the latest version. You can check this by choosing 'Check for updates' in the Zoom client window. (Click on your profile picture/symbol above the settings icon). See picture on the right.
If you are using Zoom for the first time, we advise you to do the following:
Download the application “Zoom client for meetings” via this download link.
Start the application, log in and test the sound and your microphone. This can be done via the ^-sign next to Mute, at the bottom left of the screen (“Test speaker and microphone”).

Click on the meeting link you received to log in (something like www.f-act.com/….)
If necessary, confirm any pop-ups
Then click Join with Video. You are now a meeting participant.
You’ll arrive in the waiting room and will be invited soon, or you are directly in the meeting. Welcome!
Tips
A few more tips to make the session run as smoothly and pleasantly as possible:

Tips for joining a Zoom meeting with a chromebook
We recommend installing the Zoom app on your computer, sometimes possible by logging in with a personal profile. If that’s not possible you can still follow the Zoom meeting via your web browser. Then use the meeting link and then click “Join From Your Browser”.
Tips for joining a Zoom meeting via citrix
It’s best to close the Citrix environment and install the Zoom app on your computer. If this does not work, you can still follow the Zoom meeting via your web browser. Then use the meeting link and then click “Join From Your Browser”.
